Sherry has arrived in VA and is beginning the journey to her best life. Sherry was rescued from a high kill shelter in TX initially assessed as unable to walk; she was diagnosed with a fractured pelvis and has now started bearing weight on all legs again, yay! She saw the vet here in VA shortly after she arrived for repeat x-rays and a treatment plan. Sherry is a lucky lady and with continued crate rest and pain management she will not need surgery! She also had a much needed spa day and looks like a brand new pup! She is very sweet, loves to lean in for love and will make the most amazing & stunning sidekick. She is very friendly to adults and children, dog and cat test TBD, but non-reactive to passing dogs while on leashed potty breaks and stands nose to nose with my female on opposite sides of the fence nicely. This girl never stops wagging her tail. Sherry takes treats nicely and allows you to touch her and her bowls while eating. She will need some training to refine her manners but she is totally worth it and I can't wait to see her full transformation.
