Rye was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. She has settled in well with her foster family, and is VERY smart. She came knowing no training and is quickly learning her commands and manners. She can be a bit timid at first, but warms up quickly and LOVES her people (especially older/respectful children!!). She is good with other dogs (both big and little). She crates well and will absolutely chill with you on the couch in the evening as long as she gets daily exercise/mental stimulation. She is truly a sweetheart eagerly waiting to find her forever family!
A note about cats: Rye would do BEST in a home without cats. That being said, she is not overtly aggressive with them, just a tad obsessive/very curious about them, which is very overwhelming for most cats. She MIGHT do ok with a dog confident cat AND a family 100% committed to pursuing professional training to make peaceful cohabitation possible.
