** Rory and Lorelai are a bonded pair and must be adopted together **

Lorelai is a 2 year old Belgian shepherd mix and an absolute lovebug!  Rory and Lorelai were both surrendered to a Texas shelter and are completed devoted to each other.  Where one goes, the other follows.  Lorelai believes she is a lap dog and wants nothing more than to give kisses, be with her people and of course hanging out with Rory! 

Rory and Lorelai have done well around other dogs and older kids.  At just 2 years old, Lorelai has great energy and loves nothing more than to run and play till her heart’s content.  She and Rory love to be out in the yard running, playing, and having the best time!  We are not sure that they are the best group for little, little people since they don’t yet understand how easily their energy can overwhelm a small child.  They may also knock over a little one with the crazy playing.  However, an older child they can run and play with?  Bring it on!

During the day while foster mom is away, they both hang out in their crates and recharge.  As long as they are together, they are happy no matter what they are doing.  They are both crate trained, and foster mom is working on some obedience training with them.  As always, we recommend obedience training for all our rescues to bring out the best in them.    With the Belgian shepherd mixes, there is always a good mix of stubborn thrown in with a hefty does of intelligence, so while training is more challenging, watching these girls bloom will be the best reward!

In the evening, after more afternoon play, Lorelai is excited to snuggle with foster mom on the couch.  She loves getting chin scratches and gives kisses in return.  Lorelai is a wonderfully affectionate dog and is working to make sure Rory knows everything is Ok.

Nuts and Bolts: 2 years old, 50lbs, spayed, good with dogs and older kids, no cats or birds due to Rory’s high prey drive, crate trained, potty trained, some obedience training, needs a yard to run.
