Hi! My name is Rogue! Wahoo! I’m a good boy! Everyone thought I was wild, but I’m truly a gentle giant. I am generally calm and submissive, but I get excited when it’s time to go outside or time to eat. I walk well on a leash. I’m very affectionate and curious. I love meeting new people. I’m attracted to children and their activities. I’m curious about other dogs. I’m good with the female “alpha” GSD in my foster home. I’m showing some interest in toys now. A fenced backyard would be nice, but I really prefer to be wherever my foster family is. I love walking in the woods! I’m taking short adventures right now because I’m heartworm positive, but this will be treated at SSR’s expense. I sleep in my crate at night and enter it with some gentle coaxing and a treat! I’m getting stronger every day and I will be assessed by a vet in the coming weeks. I am mainly housebroken, but I do mark occasionally in the house. I’ve just been neutered tho. I would be a great addition for a person or family with a calm, strong leader that could gently provide some boundaries. I need some obedience training, but I learn quickly (I’m very smart). Please please please submit an application for me! I would love love LOVE you! I would walk side-by-side with you during the day and snuggle by the fireplace at night. Rogue was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He arrived in Virginia on November 21st and was boarded until he was picked up by his foster family on November 25th.
