Delaney has been through a lot in her short life. Dumped in a neighborhood in South Texas, she was picked up by local Animal Control and adopted, only to be dumped (again). And when she was on her own, looking for food in a neighborhood backyard, she was threatened with being shot! Her finder brought her home to save her from that fate and doesn't trust local Animal Control to find her a committed and forever home. She reached out to us for help! Delaney is a young girl, and is doing beautifully with the resident dogs (and four parrots) and three young humans. She shows no aggression to anyone. Is crate and house trained (finder told her to "go to bed" and she walked into the crate on her own). Despite an abundance of kids (Looks like... 8-10 year old kids? Maybe younger? )shoes laying around, she hasn't tried to chew anything. Currently showing no interest in doggy toys, she was even a little afraid to eat food from a bowl -- she'd only eat food that had fallen on the floor. We're happy to report she's gotten over that. Delaney has to get up to date on all her vetting and then will be coming to her foster in Northern Virginia! Get your applications in soon! We don't think she'll last long!
