Brandy is a 2yo petite (42lb) shepherd mix who was found as a stray with severe glaucoma. A family in Texas found her and took her to the vet where the only option was to remove both her eyes. The family fostered her for months, but she wasn't able to find her forever home so she came to SSR in the hopes that she'd find her home up here. Don't let the term "blind" fool you - Brandy is nearly a sighted dog. She can do stairs without issue, learns the layout of areas quickly, learned sit and is working on down, and will even jump out of the car on her own! She loves playing fetch with a jingle ball and does well navigating in new environments like the vet or an adoption event and is friendly with everyone she meets. Brandy is good with dogs of all sizes and cats. She is house trained and working on crate training. She likes being next to her people and has a hard time being in the crate/alone for very long periods, so she'd do best with canine or human company most of the time. She's is very affectionate, goofy, and mild-mannered. She is about medium energy with bouts of play and some good naps. This unbelievably sweet girl is looking for a forever home to call her own.
