Hi! My name is Charlie! I’m between 1 and 1 and a half years old. I’m a big hunk of love, and I can’t wait to meet my forever family and give them a big hug. I was a stray in Texas, so I’m still learning what being in a house is all about. At first, the television scared me, and I saw a dog living in the oven, living in the dishwasher, and living in all the mirrors! But foster mom tells me it’s just my “reflection.” I still don’t really know what that means, but I’m getting more comfortable with these ghost dogs in the house. Loud noises and nearby dogs barking scare me, so I think I need to be in a quiet neighborhood. But I’m coming out of my shell more every day. Foster mom says I’m potty trained— I know I’m supposed to hold it until I’m outside and boy, do I love to play in the yard when I’m out there! I'd love to go to a home with a yard so we can play ball every day! I also love snuggling with foster mom on the couch inside. I’m just so grateful to feel safe & loved. At bedtime, I’d love to cuddle with another dog or in bed with you! I really don't want to be in a crate, but I promise I'll be good in the house. I'm a velcro dog that does not like to be alone, so I need another dog or person to be home with me all day. I’m very food motivated (omg I’m so hungry & I love snacks!) and foster mom says I need to gain a lot of weight. I’m up for that challenge—more snacks please! I’ve been told I’m a gentleman but that I need to work on my etiquette and table manners. Not sure why I can’t jump on the kitchen counter to prepare my own snacks. I guess I need some training so I learn why. Be patient with me - I am still a puppy after all (a big one). My heart is in the right place and I aim to please.. I just need a little guidance.
