Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Lobo is approximately a 1 year old black German Shepherd. He is quite the lover and is starting to show more personality as he warms up to his foster home. He is a skinny little boy with his ribs and pelvis sticking out and will likely need to get up to at least 75lbs. He covers up his bony body with his absolutely stunning shiny black coat and big brown eyes. He is working on basic manners and learning that he can't claw up foster mom's arm like a cat while trying to sit on her lap in the car. (car harness helped a lot). He has been doing great learning how to properly follow foster mom while walking on-leash with a prong collar. His favorite part of the day is running around and wrestling with his foster brother. He got to meet 2 cats today and didn't understand why they ran away when he barked in their faces. He may not think a cat is a treat, but he would really like to bug them. Unfortunately, we don't have a cat of our own so he won't be able to be well-socialized with them. Unknown how he will react with small dogs or children. Lobo came from a partner rescue in Texas. He just arrived to his foster in Maryland on August 23rd.
