Hanna has arrived in Virginia and she is the sweetest girl. She was quiet and calm on the 1.5 hour car ride after arriving. She slept quietly in her crate after some initial barking/whining when she was first kenneled. She is curious and timid. Her tail wags happily when she is praised or spoken to. She takes treats gently and has been responsive to correction. She will need training as she does not know commands and she does not seem to have any experience walking on a leash. Hanna will be best in a home without cats. She will lunge and pull her leash when she sees a squirrel. In Texas she was in a home with many other dogs and she got along well. She is heartworm positive but will be treated at SSR’s expense. If you are an approved adopter, please contact your caseworker. Hanna is going to be a wonderful addition to her new family.
