Meg was rescued when a breeder brought her in to her vet to be euthanized. Meg has a condition called Mega-E or Megaesophagus. It is believed that Meg's condition can be corrected with surgery and she could live a normal life. Until then, she has to have meals and water in an elevated state (the photo shows her in a Bailey Chair) and feeding takes a little longer because they have to remain in this upright position for about 30 minutes after they eat. She will be coming to her foster in Virginia in October. If you are an approved adopter and are interested in this dog, please let your case worker know.
