Remi is a young dog with lots of love and energy and is looking for an active family. She will do anything for belly rubs and will thank you with loads of kisses. Remi was rescued with a shattered pelvis and is fully healed. She is looking for an active family as she loves going on runs and bike rides. Make sure you check out her videos to see this crazy girl in action. I'm sure you would never guess that not too long ago she wasn't even able to walk! She loves playing with other dogs but after a little time of being properly introduced. She is a lot of dog piled into a tiny 50lb body so she would not be a good fit for families with small dogs, cats, other small animals, or small children (would prefer 8yrs and older). She is timid around new people but will warm up after given a few treats. She has not been DNA tested but I would not be surprised if she is part Husky. She has many similar characteristics of Husky such as loving the sound of her own voice, being extremely stubborn, and having softer fur than a Shepherd (figured I would throw in a pro). Remi will need an experienced and strong leader to continue training her as she is very strong willed. She knows basic commands and takes treats gently. Prong collars are recommended as she is very capable of pulling you wherever she wants to go. Remi has shown food aggression specifically with her food bowl. She has barked and growled at multiple people that approach her while she is eating. She is working through this behavior but it isn't something that happens overnight so her owner will need to be willing to continue training. For this reason, she will not be adopted to a family with young children. Remi is looking for a family that will be a strong leader so she can become a well-rounded young dog. She is full of love and adores snuggling, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses. She is the sweetest dog and wants a family that will give her the structure she needs and that is willing to seek professional training if necessary.
