Mai was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas where she came in as a stray. She has either had some trama or an infection that has affected her eyes and will be having surgery to remove them June 22. Despite being blind, Mai is adapting very quickly to her foster home. Within the first few days she has gotten a good understanding of the house and can navigate the stairs without much hesitation. She is naturally cautious around the dogs, but has shown a growing desire to play with them. The cat of the house received curious sniffs and was left alone. Mai likes treats and loves to come up to you and sit for pets. Though, if you stop petting her, she just might jump on you for more. :) Mai will need some special considerations, but she gets around so well that you might forget sometimes she can't see. She's a great couch cuddler and would make a great addition to a less active home.
