From the Texas foster: Shep was an owner relinquishment. He was abused and we have worked hard to get him to trust.   He has bad hips, is HW+, but we are working on this.  He is altered, great with other dogs, and we have teenagers, not all well trained and he does great.  He is crate trained, walks well on the leash and comes with a Kong Harness. He loves his neck and belly rubs, he does get nervous and becomes demanding of attention.  He has learned to play with toys and even with other dogs... nicely.  He has a bad habit of grabbing things to chew on  when nervous... which is in anything new.  We have gotten him on a good dogfood, is dewormed and takes a bone broth for good digestion health.  Which is an improvement, he still refuses cheese and french fries... not kidding.  He has no idea how big his butt or tail are so he knocks things off of tables ( we believe he was an outdoor dog only before this).  Family is new to him, but he loves it.  He deserves a FUREVER HOME.....he does NOT bark Hardly at all.. loves car rides, travel trailers...and his neck being scratched...

Shep was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas.  He will hopefully make his way to the Virginia area in August.
