Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Brittany was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. She has some eye issues and Erlichia. She arrived to her foster in Pennsylvania on February 28th. Brittany is an absolute sweetheart. She loves everyone she meets. She is very kind and gentle and gets along great with all dogs. I cat tested her and she is good with cats and is actually a little scared of them. She does not really play with balls or toys but is happier getting love and attention from us. She loves kids and is very gentle with them. She is a velcro dog and is right by our side wherever we go. She is UTD on shots and heartworm negative. She is currently not spayed but will be before she is adopted. She was diagnosed with Pannis which is a very common eye problem in German Shepherds. She can see fine but her eyes have a blue tint to them. This disease requires prednisone eye drops for the rest of her life. I currently have 2 dogs with this disease and it really isn't a problem and the drops are not really expensive. They have her age listed as senior but I honestly think she is around 4 or 5 and they were basing her age from her eyes.
