Hi all! I'm Gidget. I am small but mighty! I act tough and foster mom thinks it's because I'm still pretty scared of things. Her and my foster dad are cool (foster dad is my favorite, but shhhhhh! foster mom gives me all the good treats). They have mini versions of them in my foster home, and while I am fairly tolerant of them, they just move too fast and make me very nervous. When I get nervous, I am not afraid to make it known and I'm thinking I would feel better if my forever home didn't have any kids. I need a quieter home, to ease my anxiety. I LOVE my foster fur-sister! She has helped me learn that the stairs aren't so big and scary and that the wind isn't going to attack me, on our walks. I like to play and wrestle. Foster Sis lets me know when I need to chill out a bit and I'm good with giving her space. I would do best in a home with a fur sister or brother. I don't "like" to be in my kennel at night, but that's just because I'm a bed bug. I will sleep in my crate if you need/want me to though, and I sleep great through the night =) So far, I haven't learned how to tell anyone I have to potty, but I also haven't had a single accident in the house! Foster dad thinks I would make a great running partner, but I'm also perfectly content snuggling up and being a couch potato! Whoever wants to give me my forever home is going to need to be prepared to give me LOTS of time to adjust. I'm a good girl, I just need time to know I'm safe. I'm going to need several meet&greets with whoever would like to add me to their pack because I take awhile to warm up to new people. *Update* I got to mingle with my foster grandma's cat, Shepherd/Dane mix and Yorkie. Foster mom said she thinks I would do just fine, living with a dog savvy cat (whatever that means?) and any sized dog, with slow and proper introductions. Gidget was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in Virginia on February 28th.
