Who is ready to RUN? Diego is available and happy to take your call! Diego is almost 1 year old, and loves to run, play, chase, and any other form of exercise he can get. Want a running buddy, trail partner, or pup to go all out in the yard with? Yep, that’s Diego! Diego is a sweet, smart, and affectionate boy. However, without a strong leader, will happily fill the role of leader himself. Trust me, that is something neither of you want. Diego would thrive with someone to continue his extensive training and always challenge him. Diego has basic behavior training, off-leash training, and e-collar training. He will need an adopter committed to continuing this work. Diego has attended doggie daycare and has been fostered with other dogs. While he thinks big dogs are great, he will take a firm pass on smaller dogs. Cats are best left out the equation as well. (With his prey drive, it is just too much temptation) You know else what Diego thinks is great? Older kids! Especially the ones he can run with! Diego does have some trust issues, and the training has come a long way in helping with that. However, you will need to earn his trust before he is ready to show you all his wonderfulness. This normally doesn't take very long and foMom and Dad are pros at introductions. Diego wants to find his amazing person, and when he does, you will find a loyal companion like no other. Diego resource guards his food and water, but again, with continued training and trust, this is completely controllable. He loves his crate and is happy to hang out there while you are away. When you get home, after some good energy burning outside, Diego would love to snuggle with you on the couch and hear all about your day. (He will agree to always take your side on any issue!)
