Lexis is a sweet calmer 3-4yo girl who arrived in VA on Feb. 7. She would love a home that would let her lay on the couch all day with the occasional time outside. She would be perfectly happy with a doggy sibling as long as they aren’t to intimidating or energetic. She will go out and run around the yard with another dog or will just lay on the couch while you love her. She is good in the crate though she doesn’t like to go in it. She had a few accidents at first in her crate but as she learns the schedule she has gotten much better. She knows sit and we are working on other commands. I am unsure if she knows others as she has been slow to gain the confidence in the home to show me but she does seem like a smart girl who would learn very fast. She is starting to come out of her shell. And she is wonderful. At dinner she is not fond of Bullet, my other foster, coming towards her food but nothing seems to come from the growl warning she gives. Just suggest separate feeding if she is in a home with another pup. But all in all our lovely girl is opening up and is amazing. She won’t last long. Lexis is Cat friendly but it would need to be a dog savy cat and they would need slow introductions. Lexis seems to be good with kids but they need to be considerate as she does still spook at some things and she is a bit timid still. Lexis was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.
