Sawyer LOVES people and he LOVES balls. He is super-sweet and wants to be by your side 24/7. He will need to go to a home with breed or working dog experience as he's come a long way but still has a lot of manners to learn and can be stubborn!  While he gets along and plays with other dogs,  he has a history of being protective of his toys and food so he must be monitored closely with other dogs.  He loves to play with other dogs though and does best with more submissive dogs. From what we've seen, cats can be touch and go; he did not do well with a previous foster's skittish cats but has since met our very laid back, not skittish, dog savvy cat and is doing well ignoring her most of the time.  Sawyer is going to make a great companion, but will need lots of patience and even more training. His energy level is very high and he plays rough!  Because of this, he would not be best for little kids as he can easily knock them over. He has a very high ball drive. While he does go into a crate and behaves in the crate, he verbally protests for about 10-15 minutes before quieting down (typical husky!). Sawyer is up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
