Bubba (Waldo) was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas in 2020 and was adopted out. He came back into SSR recently.
Bubba/ SSR’s Waldo is back! Bubba was returned back to SSR due to no fault of his own. His previous adopter is very sick and could no longer care for him. He was roughly 7 months when he was first adopted, and now a year and a half later, here he is at 2 years old, looking for his final and forever home. Bubba is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve had the pleasure of fostering. He loves cuddles and being with his people. He enjoys going for walks and being outside. So far he hasn’t shown any reaction to other animals when we’re out walking. Bubba is a pretty obedient boy. He knows basic commands and has a good recall. He is crate trained and potty trained. He’s a submissive pup who seems to like other dogs. I can’t say for sure about small dogs or cats but I’ll try to test both soon. He has done great with my kids and nieces and nephews, however, does need to work on being less mouthy while playing. Bubba does well walking on leash, but the excitement of getting to go outside does make him pull pretty hard at first. This too will need to be worked on. He’s pretty smart so it shouldn’t take long for him to learn. He does like to spend a lot of time outside. We take him for multiple walks a day but that doesn’t seem like enough outside time for him. A large fenced in yard would be great for him to burn off the extra energy he has or to just chill and relax freely with his people.
