Kasa was rescued from a hill shelter in Texas. She is a young dog who is a total sweetheart and loves people. She is an absolute angel in the house when there are people around and loves to play with our large dog (she's very submissive and loves to be tackled). Kasa also loves to cuddle and will lay flat on her back napping in your lap which we think makes her look just like a skunk. She is very gentle with kids but is still learning not to jump. She is mostly very well behaved on a leash although she does like to pull to try to say hello to any dog she passes. She looks much larger than she is due to her fluffy coat - we call her our little big dog because she weighs in at only 60 lbs! Kasa does not do well in crates, which she has gently let us know by destroying two different types! We are working with her on being calm when left at home alone in a pen that gives her more space without giving her completely free roam of the house while she learns not to chew furniture, and have every bit of confidence that she will be a great dog once she has perfected this. She has been tested around my parents' cat but we think her prey drive is a little too high to do well with cats in the home. Kasa would do best in a home with another doggy playmate as she still has a lot of puppy energy and really loves to play. She is also a serious bone chewer so would need to be with a dog who is ok sharing bones and toys.
