Bailey was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas with a broken leg. On his way to recovering from the injury, he developed Parvo. He received medical care for both and recovered. He made his way to Virginia and was adopted in December 2019. Bailey was a loved member of the family until he was returned to us in February 2022 after biting the family's two year old in the face when he climbed on top of Bailey. Bailey 1122 has been through a lot in his short three years of life, but it hasn't gotten him down - he has so much love to give and just wants to chill with his humans. He started out life being rescued from a kill shelter in Texas with a broken leg, contracted Parvo, recovered, and was adopted in Virginia as a puppy. He was well loved by his family until their two year old climbed on top of Bailey, and Bailey bit the child in the face. Due to that, Bailey needs a home without small children. Bailey would be happy as an only dog, but he could live with another well-balanced dog as long as his owner is dedicated to helping Bailey learn how to appropriately interact with his canine siblings. Bailey loves walks and is a dream on the leash. He is crate trained and will happily go in when asked. He likes to be near his humans - especially if he knows you are home! He hasn't mastered fetch, but does love to gather all his toys and drop them in his Mom's bed. He is a champion snuggler and is happiest on the couch with his people.
