Mocha is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas but originally was stuck in a yard on a short chain with her two puppies. She arrived to her Virginia foster on December 14th and is settling in nicely. She gets along with the resident dog but is not cat friendly. She is great in a crate and is housebroken. She walks nicely on a leash but will pull a little if she see's a squirrel. She's a very sweet girl that loves giving kisses. Poor girl never had a chance to have toys in Texas so she’s still learning that toys are to play with. In general she’s not destructive. She is heartworm positive but will be treated at SSR’s expense. Like a typical malinois, she is quick to pick up commands and already knows sit, down, and come but will require on going training following adoption. She will need a strong alpha so an adopter with prior working breed experience is preferred.
