Phoenix is an amazing little lady. She is so gentle and sweet. Life has been unkind to her, but she is resilient and improving every day. She's looking for a forever home where she will be safe and loved, and where she can continue to heal and thrive. In return, she will give her forever family endless devotion and affection. Phoenix is friendly and submissive with dogs. She has a low prey drive and is mildly curious about, but mostly indifferent to cats. She is initially cautious around people, but once you show her you mean no harm, she gleefully opens up and offers snuggles. Phoenix was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She was in such bad shape that the shelter wanted to euthanize immediately, but SSR stepped in and was able to rescue her. Phoenix has mange and is malnourished, but she is recovering. She is also heartworm positive and will undergo treatment at SSR's expense.
