Hi I’m SSR Cleo (aka Ally). I am a 6-month old un-spayed female who is approximately 40 pounds. My foster family said that I am like a diamond in the rough but I have no idea what that means. When I get scared or if I am startled, I will growl and bark because I don’t have a lot of confidence. I was returned to SSR because I was not good with children so I will not be placed in a home with children. I suffer from separation anxiety when my foster parents go to work and I hate being confined (they have tried 3 different types of crates so far). I am their first foster dog that has refused to go out for the nice dog walker even though she offered me yummy treats. I would do best in a home where someone works part-time or stays at home. So if you’re still reading my bio… thank you for not giving up on me yet. I’m not going to be one of those dogs that loves you right away. You will have to earn my trust but once you have, I will be loyal to you for the rest of my life. My foster family tells me every day that I am a really special girl and have so much potential. I am also absolutely gorgeous. I am a complete love bug with people that I trust. I love to snuggle on the couch to watch TV or when my foster mom is checking Instagram before bedtime. I also snore just a little bit at night. I love to run in the yard and chase balls with my GSD foster sister. I also love to play with chew toys while chilling on my cot so I can entertain myself. I would do fine as an only dog since I do like to be center of attention. If placed in a home with another dog, the other would need to be a confident alpha who would correct me when I step out line. If you don’t like to pick up sticks before you mow then grass, then I’m your girl because much to my foster parents’ chagrin I will find every stick in their yard and run around with it in my mouth instead of going potty. I am completely potty trained and can sleep all night without a potty break. I am a very good girl in the car and I love to go on adventures with my foster family. I recently attended a Bald Eagle release and a First Day hike and was very well behaved; I even took treats from a young man. I would make an excellent running or hiking buddy. I am very smart and I am working on my basic obedience. I just recently learned the THROUGH command. Obviously, I need a strong pack leader to help to continue my training and build my confidence. Are you my special family?
