Bowie is a very large, very goofy all white male shepherd who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He arrived to Virginia on Sept 25th. He is very affectionate and full of energy! We are still looking for his off switch. He responded well to correction of the alpha female in his foster home and will need lots of training. He needs to be neutered and then will be looking for his forever home. Bowie likes children but will knock small kids over. He needs a strong leader who will work with him on his manners and teach him how to be a good dog. He likes to be close to his people or other dogs. He would not do well left alone for long periods of time. If his forever family works during the day, he would do best in doggy daycare or will need a dog walker. He will make a great hiking and running buddy once he learns proper leach manners. Bowie would not do well in an apartment setting. He is not aware of his size and needs room to run!
