Spot is just as sweet as he is handsome! What he loves most is being with his person and will follow you everywhere if you let him. Spot was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. Because of his wonderful and loving personality, he was transferred to their adoption facility. However, when he wasn’t adopted within the first couple of months, Spot’s time there was up and he was taken back to the shelter to be PTS. That’s when Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue stepped in (okay, we know he isn’t a shepherd but we had to save him, right?). Like most border collie mixes, Spot is very smart and has an active mind that will need to be stimulated. Spot’s energy level is medium to high, and he isn’t much of a barker. He loves to go for long runs, but then is ready to lay down and snuggle with you. Spot’s foster mom is working with him on basic commands and leashing training and, while Spot would be good for a first-time owner, the humans in his home should be committed to his continued training. Spot gets along great with other dogs but has not yet been cat or kid tested. Check back soon to learn what we found out.
