SSR's Duchess is a sweet, friendly, playful dog with a wonderful personality. She is perfect in the home: potty-trained and crate-trained, and gets along great with her dog and cat foster siblings. Duchess is partially blind/sight impaired, but it doesn't hold her back at all. She is fearless and eager to explore and enjoy life like any other dog. She loves to play with toys, chase balls, and go on walks. She also loves gentle play with humans and calm dogs. She's very affectionate and loves snuggles and belly scratches. She is only vocal when she hears unusual noises or when strangers approach. As soon as she meets people, she is super friendly. The perfect home for Duchess is one where she has companionship most of the day, whether it's humans or other dogs. She will cry if left her totally alone for long periods. Duchess learns how to get around on her own pretty quickly, but she will frequently step on, trip over, and run into things, other pets and people. She also uses her nose to get around and will "boop" you frequently. An understanding family on the quieter side, and a safe environment are very important for her. She is also currently on enzymes for food absorption, as well as eye drops for her eyes. Both may need to continue long term/for life. Duchess has so much love and life to give.
