Allister is a smart, playful, affectionate, and motivated boy. He’s estimated to be around 1.5 years old and still has a lot of puppy in him. He weighs in around 70lbs but still needs to put on some weight. He absolutely loves people and will shower anyone in affection. Allister is very playful and loves being outside. He will likely thrive in a family that likes to hike. He walks wonderfully on a leash and has an excellent heel. He is very food motivated and knows basic commands such as sit, down, and come. He is also house broken and crate trained but will likely be vocal in the crate for the first few days. Allister rides great in a car, but he will try to get up front to be with his people and give kisses. Like a typical shepherd, Allister can be headstrong and will need to be placed in a home with someone who has shepherd experience. Allister is sometimes nervous around other dogs and exhibits leash reactivity. Professional training may help him overcome the reactivity. Allister has been friendly with some dogs after decompression and slow, proper introduction. He would do well in a home as an only pet or with a well-balanced, non-reactive dog.
