Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Cleo was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in Maryland on May 23. Cleo is a hidden treasure. Although timid, Cleo oozes admiration and love. She can be found donning her trusted people in kisses and abundant cuddles. Cleo has made great strides since arriving in VA/MD. She has learned basic commands such as sit, down, come, crate, and place. She has excellent crate manners and would do best in a home that will provide her a crate as a safe place where she can go when overwhelmed. She walks wonderfully on a prong collar, but will begin to pull when she gets nervous. Cleo is still working on her confidence around large groups of people, especially when they are loud and outside noises still make her a little nervous. She loves other dogs and gets very excited to see them. She hasn't shown any aggression, dominance, nor resource guarding toward her foster brother. However, due to a spay revision she has been unable to play with other dogs to asses her play interaction.
