Maris was taken to a shelter in Texas after he was hit by a car. He had serious fractures to his humerus, ulna and radius, which was surgically corrected with plates, screws and rods on May 3rd. His injuries are so extensive they’ve affected the growth plate and he may never walk normally again. He also may be blind in one eye, potentially. SSR is still awaiting his final prognosis. He will remain in Texas with a foster for an extended period of time while he recovers. Once recovered, he will make his way to Virginia.
