Roxanne was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in West Virginia on April 27.
Roxanne is a sweet, loving, energetic girl who is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps through the night in her crate and plays well with other dogs.
Roxanne loves to snuggle and play, she will chase a ball - or toy - but has not yet learned how to bring it back. She also loves running around in the yard with her foster mom's other dogs. Roxanne has been great with every person that she has met, kids included. Roxanne has been good around cats, but does get curious and may chase if enticed. Roxanne is a dominant female and is not a fan of being mounted by another dog. She will sometimes get bossy and let them know to back off. She would greatly benefit from continued interactions with other animals. Roxanne is a clinger and wants to constantly be by your side. She will cuddle with you on the couch and follow you around while you complete other tasks. She has a high energy level and will need exercised at least once per day to stay happy. Roxanne is a very good girl and will let you play with her feet or ears, but would much rather give you kisses instead. If you are going to clean her ears or trim her nails, she requires the distraction of another person to love on. Roxanne is heartworm negative and does not have any health issues that we are aware of. Roxanne would be best in an active household that will be able to take her out for walks regularly and allow her to interact with other animals, or have another companion animal in the house.
