I was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. I just arrived to my foster in Virginia on April 27. She is a one-year-old-ish German Shepherd mix puppy. She is an absolute sweetheart who is most definitely a Velcro pup. She is adventurous yet timid at the same time. So far she has followed me around the house and whined a little bit when I put her in her crate. Delaney scarfed down her lunch and could use a few extra pounds. Walking her on a leash has been amazing so far—slightly skittish but glued to my hip. She walks right next to me. Delaney is still recovering from her skin condition and has been licking her belly and legs a wee bit. She loves chewing on stuff but this smart girl knows the difference between shoes and dog toys/treats. So far she has met our smallest pup, Poppy (Coton de Tulear rescue pup). She greeted her with lots of dog kisses, curiosity, and gentleness. We don’t have any cats so I am not sure how she will do with them but from what I have seen she is so sweet with other dogs and does not greet them with barking. Delaney is an absolute dream puppy.
