Tabitha was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in Virginia on April 12th. Tabitha is affectionate, friendly, and sweet through and through. At home she is quiet and relaxed. She spends most of her day napping on her bed. She livens up when she sees one of her people reaching for her leash, grabbing the car keys, or heading toward the door. She LOVES to be out on leash, go out on car-rides, and has settled right into our family outings. She is content to sit with me on the sidelines and watch softball games, the scenery at the park, and has made a great companion for trips to the school bus-stop and practices. Even the veterinarian commented on what a great patient she is! She does great meeting new people, often greeting them with kisses on the hand. She has been sweet and gentle toward our children and others in the neighborhood. Tabitha has been friendly on-leash when passing and meeting other dogs in public and had no issues off leash with a fellow temporary foster dog. She is house-trained. She lives in her foster home with a cat (who is not partial to dogs). During introductions, Tabitha was cautious, curious, and easily calmed. We think with proper introductions she would do well living with a cat brother or sister. Tabitha has a heart of gold, and will make loving and perfect family member for a very lucky family. She is being fostered in Leesburg, VA.
