Luna was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She arrived in Virginia on March 27th. She does have some underlying skin issues and was super thin when rescued, but she’s being treated by SSR and improving all the time. Luna is great with dogs and enjoys playing with them. While on leash, she does not react even if another dog barks at her. She is equally great with kids, although I would advise dog savvy kids as she will be a big girl once she gains the rest of the weight she needs. She is afraid of my cat (although my cat is a jerk). We are working on that though. She met a frog the other day and I can confirm she is frog friendly! She walks well on leash (but may pull a bit when she really has to “go.”) Luna is house trained and crate trained. She would be good in an apartment or townhouse as she is on the quiet side and does not react to visitors or deliveries. Working on basic commands but she is incredibly smart and treat motivated! She is shy around new people but warms up in time. A patient adopter would be best to help her gain confidence. Luna is also heartworm positive, but treatment will be paid for by SSR.
