Kaiya was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in Virginia on March 27th. Kaiya is an exuberant puppy whose Husky side likes to shine through. She loves to be vocal with her Husky bark, which if you’ve ever heard, you know it sounds more like having a conversation. Kaiya has super special eyes. She’s bi-eyed, meaning she has one brown eye and one blue eye! Kaiya is around 5 months old and full of energy. She is super smart and a quick learner. She is very treat driven and is also doing very well learning to walk calmly on the leash. Kaiya is a very vocal girl, especially when she first meets other dogs, but she is very sweet and just wants to play. We introduced her to our pup and they get along great. She is not a dominant dog even though her bark can sometimes sound like she is. She is great with other dogs big or small and she even does well with cats. She will bark in their face but again it’s only because she wants to play. She does not prefer a kennel and always looks for a way out. She hasn’t figured out that that could be her happy place yet. We have left her out and not in a kennel a few times and as long as everything is picked up and put away she will sleep all day. If she can get into the trash though she won’t pass up the opportunity. Being that Kaiya is only 5 months old the few things that need worked on are very trainable. She’s very excited to meet her perfect family!
