I was rescued from a shelter in Virginia. Beau is an incredibly sweet, fun, and loving dog! He enjoys long walks, chewing sticks, getting treats, and absolutely LOVES chasing tennis balls! While Beau is a large and goofy boy, he is incredibly smart. He knows commands: sit, down, gentle (when taking treats), get off the couch, place, bed, stay, and can shake with both paws! While he plays well with his puppy foster brother, Beau is completely unaware of his size. He would do best in a home with older children and parents willing to give him the structure he needs to thrive. He is a very energetic and verbal dog so, a family that spends a lot of time outside or loves to run or walk would be best. He does great running with his foster mommy at the moment and loves every second of attention he can get! While Beau is a gentle giant, he will need training to help him overcome his reaction to strangers. He is UTD on shots, preventatives, and fixed. Possible chicken allergy, tbd.
