Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Harley was rescued from a shelter in West Virginia with his buddy Cocoa. This big teddy bear of a dog has passed the cat tests with flying colors and even slept next to one last night without getting midnight snack ideas. Harley is wonderful with my kids, gentle, and quick to give kisses. He could be ok with small kids if it is understood he might be clumsy due to size (he is 90+ lbs and big boned) and has a lack of training. He is more of a cuddly couch potato than an active dog. Content to just chill than go for a jog. Harley does have spurts of energy with my dogs and I suspect he will get more playful as he gets more comfortable. Playing seems new to him and he is trying to learn what a squeaky toy is, but is quick to toss it aside in favor of head scratches, hugs, and that good ole Shepherd body lean. He rides great in the car and while he is not a fan of water, stood just fine for his bath. Harley seems to be housebroken, but he will mark inside the house. Hopefully, this will go away now since he was neutered on March 4th. He is almost 4 yrs old and we would for him to be adopted with Cocoa, who is another sweet dog in case anyone could be looking for 2 big pups! But this isn’t “required”. One of the easiest fosters I've had in a while and he's going to make some family very lucky❤ More about Harley 0815Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Does Good in the Car, Likes to play with toys, Likes to be in your lap, Affectionate Harley 0815's companion, Cocoa 0814 (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
