Poor Rex hasn’t had much interest at all. He deserves to find his forever family so he can have a place to call home. When we first met Rex he was timid and cautious of my husband. He is no longer that timid boy. I’m sure the days before he came into our foster home were traumatic from being in that shelter with all the noise and unknowns. Now that he’s here and feels safe, he is a completely different dog. He is happy and sweet and energetic and playful. He gets excited to be around people and he loves being outside. He chills out on a dog bed or is happy in his kennel chewing bones or playing with toys. He’s perfectly content being in the kennel at night or when we have to go to work. He loves belly rubs and playing with our kids. He even walks well on a leash. He is super smart and eager to please. When he gets excited he jumps up on you, so he will need continued training with this. He also gets mouthy when playing. This will need to be corrected as well. He gets excited around cats and can be on the rough side with them, but he doesn’t seem to want to eat them. He ignores other dogs when we go for walks and is currently being fostered with Jasmine. He has so much energy, but he doesn’t mind keeping himself occupied if you let him outside with a soccer ball or basket ball. He’d make a great running partner as well. Seriously, Rex is such a sweet heart. If you haven’t met him, you are really missing out.
