Talo has arrived and is learning how to be the best dog he can be. This handsome guy is very sweet, but can be a little nervous. His favorite thing in the world is a good belly rub! He has started obedience training and his confidence is growing daily, but he will need a family that can continue to lead him in the right direction. He is a smart guy and has already mastered leash walking and crate training in the few days he has been here. Talo sometimes struggles with anxiety, but is learning how to calm down and relax. Too much affection and activity can be overwhelming for him. Spending some alone time in his crate, adding structure and keeping his schedule consistent really helps. Talo does well with other dogs with a slow and proper introduction, but will need time to adjust. He is not a good fit with cats. He does well with respectful children and currently resides with children ages 8-12 years of age. He does well in the car and during bath time and is very good about being handled. He allows me to handle his paws and tail during grooming. Talo will be a phenomenal dog for someone capable of being a good leader and willing to invest the time and effort into teaching him how to be a good boy.
