Jasmine is a loving lady who wants a chance to show you how amazing she is! She starts off a little timid, but once she gets to know you, she becomes a shining star! Jasmine is very gentle and loves nothing more than being with her family. Jasmine is wonderful and patient with kids. She does well with other dogs, however does have some residual food guarding that we are currently working on. Guarding food was a way of life before we rescued her, so she will need a minute to break that habit. Jasmine has barked at her foster’s cat but doesn’t show any desire to hurt her. She has selected a comfy corner in the foster’s dining room as her napping spot. She currently prefers to sleep on the rugs, but has beds available when she is ready. Jasmine is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She would greatly benefit from a basic obedience class. Jasmine is also working on mastering stairs. She does great on the up part, but still needs some confidence on the down part. She is well on her way to becoming an amazing family dog! Jasmine is heartworm positive and will be treated by SSR. If she is adopted before she completes treatment, SSR will pay for the remaining treatment.
