Tracker - AKA The Love of Your Life
Hey baby, my name is Tracker, and studies show that older men are more attractive to everybody! (Okay, that might not have been an ACTUAL study, but it should have been.) I am a suave and savvy 8 year old, and I’m so full of love and devotion you can see it right here in my eyes. Do you want a buddy? THAT’S ME!!! Do you want a companion? I’M YOUR GUY!!! Do you have tennis balls that need to be carried around? I’M ON IT!!! When my foster mama is on a conference call – she paces….and guess who is right there with her, making sure she doesn’t get lost – ME, that’s who! As if all of that isn’t enough, I’m the best car rider ever. I love the feel of the wind in my ears, and I gaze out on the passing world, drinking it all in…..heavenly! I am great with kids and other dogs. (I might like cats, but we haven’t tried that yet.) I’m a looker and SO handsome with my shiny black and tan coat and soulful eyes. I’m like the Clark Gable of dogs.
I’m not much for barking. When my foster sister barks at the mailman and the rabbits and the leaves and the air (hounds – what can you do?) I just look at my foster mama as if to say, “What’s WITH her?” I’ve been left alone with the run of the house for several hours at a time, and haven’t hurt a thing except my toys, which I love to shred. I love food but don’t get mad about it (no apparent guarding)…and when playing and told to “let go”….I do!
A few pesky negatives: I’m heartworm positive, but starting my treatment shortly…..as well as getting something called “neutered?” I have some arthritis but you’d never know it by my energy, so my walks, which I love, should be not too long and not too fast. I do need a little work on the leash – there’s just so many interesting things to SMELL for pete’s sake – and I’ve been guilty of marking a time or two. I’m already a happy, happy boy and 70 pounds of LOVE who adores playing and who would be the very best friend and companion you could ask for.
