Hello friends. Riggins here! I was wondering around the streets in Texas a while back and this really nice lady brought me home and called Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue and asked if they could find me a home. I hung out at her house for a few weeks and played with her dogs before she sent me on a road trip to Virginia. I just got to my foster home in Waterford, VA, 25 minutes west of Dulles Airport, and they have a huge back yard. Foster Mom says I can run around in it but if I go too far I can’t see her and get nervous. What if she leaves and I’m alone again?
They have a lot of toys at foster Moms house and I’ve been playing with them since I got here. I walk nicely on a leash and know how to sit. I go potty outside and sleep in a crate. I protest a little at first but will go to sleep. I would recommend you double lock my crate with a clip because I moonlight as Houdini in my spare time. The food here is good too. I’ve trained foster Mom to refill my bowl if I take it to her. She’s so smart.
Across the street from foster Mom are these really big funny looking dogs. She keeps telling me they are horses and don’t like it when I bark at them. I just want to go play with them but she won’t let me.
Foster Mon cleaned my ears and cut my toes and I behaved; well I gave her lots of kisses. Foster Dad makes me nervous so I just hide behind Mon for now. But he seems nice so maybe I’ll let him pet me tomorrow. Mom said we are having a party in a few days and I can meet some tiny humans. I will let you know if I like them or not. Foster Mom also says I have to go to the vet and get snipped before I can find my forever home. Do you know what that means?
