Hi! My name is Madison, although my foster mom is calling me all kinds of things like Mighty Mouse, Kanga, Joey and Velcro. She says it’s because I’m so small for a shepherd and because I like to hop when I get really excited and follow her around everywhere. I’m just making sure I can see her because I’ve been moved around alot and am trying to figure out what’s going on. In the last 2 days, I’ve had to meet 3 different dogs who have all been super happy to see me, but at first I wasn’t so sure about them and growled to let them know I didn’t like it. After I realized they weren’t giving up, I just gave in and let them lick me. Now I think they’re great, and it’s really fun to chase them and jump on them when they finally lay down and lick them so it all worked out!
I really get excited when I have my favorite stuffed toys, but I also really like this rawhide bone I get that tastes like chicken. My foster dog sisters kept taking it away from me which kinda made me mad at first but now I just let them have it and find something else to play with.
I had to go to the groomers today to get a bath and I heard everyone saying I was so cute and well behaved. It helped when the lady hugged me while they trimmed my nails and then I got to come home to these little people who look like my foster mom, but are smaller and always hug me. They’re the best. The really little one took me outside and let me walk with her which I loved. She also lets me cuddle with her which is one of my favorite things.
I like to sleep in my crate with my favorite toys. It makes me feel safe and I know my foster mom is right there so when I have to go to the bathroom, I just bark so she knows to get me and take me out. I haven’t had any accidents in the house, but I do have to be watched with eating because I LOVE to eat. I get to share my bowls with my foster dog siblings, which I also don’t mind.
I can’t wait to find my permanent people! I think I would like them to have little people for me to love on and cuddle with, but if not that would be okay as long as they don’t mind me always being with them. I just want to know someone is close to me when I’m sleeping and cuddle and play when I’m awake. And I think I would like another dog to play with too. And bones. I definitely want bones.
