Journey is a very sweet 5 year old female (62 pounds) that craves attention, touch and affection. This lovely girl wants to be with her people as much as possible. If she can climb into your lap, she will. It seems as if she did not have much affection before and now she just cannot get enough. She has met the neighborhood kids and gently greeted them. She is house trained and sleeps well in her crate at night. She has been out on walks in the neighborhood and has did great. She seems inspired when we are walking with our young pup to try her luck at chasing squirrels. She does need to gain a few pounds but that should be easy because she has a wonderful appetite. Journey is a low energy dog who will be a dog that enjoys a lazy walk every now and then; but she does not "need" lots of exercise. She has done well with our foster pups. Though Journey came from situation of neglect, she is no wallflower. Journey definitely is a strong lady with a personality that is still coming through more and more each day. Today, she has revealed to us that she is confident, intelligent, loving, loyal, persistent, welcoming, mature, and eager to be with her people. She passed a non definitive cat test when she was in Texas. She will make her forever family the reason for her joy. She deserves a home with a family that can appreciate her past and spoil her rotten with love and all the hot dogs a GSD can ask for. She really is a special girl. She is being fostered in Montclair.
