I am a really good girl who loves, loves, LOVES bellyrubs and walkies outside and meeting new people. I almost (ALMOST, but definitely not as much) share the same love for bellyrubs as I do for my salmon and bone cookies. Yum, yum, YUM. Do you think there is anyone out there in the whole wide world who could give me a bellyrub and a cookie treat for being so pretty and sweet? I want to believe someone is out there for me. Mom? Dad? Sister or brother? I imagine you every night before I go to bed, and every morning when I first awaken. I see myself running goofily through your yard and sitting pretty for treats. I can see my new mom leaning in to kiss me on my head, or my new dad snuggling on the couch with me and telling me that he loves me. He. Loves. Me. THEY. Love. Me. Someone loves me....forever. I ache to be a part of a forever family. I have lived a really hard life. I used to roam the streets of South Texas where nobody cared. I tried to find love in passersby and strangers, just so that I may get one little bite to eat or a pat on the head (or...or...A BELLYRUB!!!!); but alas, to no avail. I was finally brought to a really scary place and listed as a stray. I was terrified, but I soon found myself on the way to Virginia!!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!!! Since living in my foster home, I have discovered that I really love meeting other dogs, but sometimes they get me super excited, so I am working on my “meeting my new best friends” behavior. I think cats are really cool and that they deserve wonderful homes as well, I mean ALL animals deserve a loving home...but cats perhaps just not in my forever home. I think they are really great and all, but they are SOOOOOO fun to chase around the house. Since I love kitties so much, I think it may be better for them to not live in my forever home, because I might scare them a little bit with my playful antics. My puppy walker, who has met me a number of times now, loves cuddling with me, and thinks my eyes are so cute and lively, while also being soulful. I really am a very, very good girl. My foster mom and dad adore me and are keeping their fingers crossed that you will fall in love with me just as much as they have over the past several weeks. Can you help me find my family? I have lived a very hard life and would love to know some forever love. Hugs and Kisses, April April has been in foster care for FAR too long. She is a middle-aged, spritely sweetheart who has energy for long walks and playtime, but most prefers a bellyrub and lounging around her foster home when not outside. She is the PERFECT combination of mid-level energy and couch-potato. She does INCREDIBLY perfect in a car and in her crate. With how excited April gets with other dogs, we think that she would be best as an only pet in the house, or possibly with a very calm brother/sister. Meetings with the other dog will be required.
