Daria is a young, energetic, super sweet, 55 lb little girl. She will captivate you with her eyes and then steal your heart. She was picked up running the streets of Dallas, TX pregnant. Once they got her to the shelter she was just hours away from being spayed while pregnant! Knowing what that meant for her babies, she went into labor and had them before anything bad could happened to them. That same day she was taken to our foster's house in Texas for 3 days, then driven for 2 days here to Virginia. Thru all the changes, and relocating, Daria continued to be a good Momma and care for her babies. Although she had to be scared and unsure about what was going to happen, she took it all in stride and handled like a champ.
She has been quietly settling into her foster home where she continues to be a great mom despite being so young herself. She has noticed, yet doesn't seem to care about the resident kitty in the house. If you are looking for a brave, active, young girl to complete your family, Daria might be the dog for you! She is heartworm negative, and on preventatives, as well as up to date on all her shots. As soon as she is finished nursing her pups, she will be spayed and looking for her furever home. She is being fostered in Paris, Va and will be available for adoption around the middle of March. She can start meeting adopters after Valentine's Day.
