Sasha is a beautiful, 1 year old (DOB 12/25/2016) female GSD. She weighs 53 pounds. She is good with dogs. We have 3 personal dogs and, after proper introductions, they did great together. She has not shown any resource guarding at all. As for cats, Sasha has a moderate prey drive. Her foster in Texas has cats and said that Sasha would chase them. She chases anything that moves. She may learn to be cat friendly but she needs to be slowly and properly introduced to any cat. The kids in our neighborhood have met Sasha and she is okay with new kid faces. She does have a lot of puppy energy and tends to jump when excited. Her ideal, new family will have the desire and time to train with her so that these very normal and puppy like behaviors are managed.
Sasha is somewhat laid back in the house and seems a little more bold when we are exploring outside. Sasha seems to be be pretty good walking on leash, until she sees a squirrel that she wants to chase. She should not be off leash at all until she has a solid recall. Sasha is a beautiful, sweet, curious, healthy, and strong female GSD. Sasha has not met a treat that she does not like. Like her sister, Sasha is a very sweet GSD with an adventurous spirit. She will bond to her family quickly.
There are no medical concerns and no specific needs that she has. Lastly, she is being fostered in Montclair, VA.
