Hi, my name is Sandy. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. I was pretty sick with a lot of parasites and tick disease called anaplasmosis. Luckily, I was brought here and have been on a lot of medication and I am doing much better. When I first got here I didn't even know how to play or what toys were but I learned quickly and now I loved it! I especially love to chew on reindeer antlers and carry around little stuffed toys. The house I got to had another dog and at first I didn't like her but now we play all day long. I am ok with cats that are dog-savvy...however I do like to chase after cats that run away from me so I might not be good for a home that has cats. I am crate trained and while my family hasn't tested it they think I am probably house trained as well. I know some basic commands like sit, down and come. I am very well behaved and whoever adopts me will be very, very lucky! Please review our adoption process, www.shenandoahrescue.org/adoption-process if interested.
