Update 12/18/17: Her personality is really starting to show, and we see her ears up more and more, which we take as a sign of being happy. She crawls into my lap if I sit down on the floor, and would rather sleep on the floor right beside me than on her comfy bed, if given the option.

Update 12/1/17: She is incredible affectionate, but also very timid. She stays in her crate most of the time, but is starting to venture out more and more, especially when invited. She will need to be with someone who has lots of time to dedicate to bringing her out of her shell. When she is out of her crate, she's a total velcro doggy! At night, we keep her crated, and she is quiet and content.

She walks very well on a leash. She doesn't like being tugged or pulled however, she freaks out and resists if you try to pull the lead when walking ahead, but if you give her a vocal command, she responds immediately.  Her interaction with our dog and cat is great, she basically just gives them a sniff hello but otherwise ignore them.

It's pretty clear that she must have had some trauma, but she is desperate for affection and approval, which we are giving her in loads. She is also a bit of a food beggar, so we're working on breaking that. :) She also has one really quirky habit-when she gets spooked, if we're closer to the bathroom than her crate, she runs in and jumps in the bathtub.

11/20/17:  Rescued from a North Carolina Shelter!  I am a senior girl looking for someone to love me in my later years.  I am heartworm positive and have Lyme's Disease.  I will be treated by Shenandoah Rescue so I can be a healthy girl!
