Update: March 9, 2018: Well I have had my final heartworm injections and I am doing very well. Was sore for a day or two but now I am better. I don't ever want to talk about heartworms again, I just want to be able to jump and play and get out in the world and meet new people, but that will still have to wait for a couple more weeks, meanwhile, I am just chilling with my foster brother and sister and my cats and humans. Hope to meet you soon!
Update: March 2, 2018: Hi, Its King again, I thought everyone would like to hear an update on how I am doing. I went to the Veterinarian to get ready for my last heartworm injections and I did very well. I liked all the people that work there and I was okay walking in and seeing other dogs. And they gave me treats!
I also went over to our next door neighbor's house and met them and their two kids and their dog and I did very well. I know now I will do okay meeting new people it will ju st take someone who loves me enough to have a little patience. I would love to meet my forever family and I would love to meet all their family and friends, just not all at once. After my heartworm injections I have to lay low for a couple of weeks and then I will be as good as new. My foster mom says that I am a sweet and very smart boy with so much potential. Well, that is enough for now, I think I see a cat coming and I don't want to loose the chance to say hello and give them a good lick. Bye for now. Original Bio My name is King. Why don't you grab a cup of coffee and I will tell you my story. I am 3 years old and I am here because my old human brought me to a shelter in North Carolina because I was unwanted. Looking back, that was a good thing, because he was not very kind to me. He made me unable to trust people, so it takes me awhile to warm up to new people, especially men. I warmed up to my foster dad and it only took 6 days, so I am doing pretty good, and although my foster family really loves me, i want a forever family soon so that I can relax and be a happy dog.
As you can see from my pictures, I get along well with other dogs, probably because they have been nicer to me than humans. I don't mind cats, right now I am living with 5 of them and I am doing good, so check that off your list of must haves in a new companion.
So, I have had some time to think about what I want in a forever family. I don't mean to be demanding, but I do want to be happy, so this is what I need:
I really don't think that any of these requests are unreasonable, I mean you will be getting a great me!
